Femilift
The laser for vaginal rejuvenation and mild stress urinary incontinence
Venus Medical was the first Irish clinic to use Alma’s Femilift laser for vaginal rejuvenation and mild stress urinary incontinence.
The fractionated CO² laser has been adapted to use the special Femilift probe.
During the treatment, the probe is gently inserted into the vagina. The laser scans across the lining of the vagina, peeling tiny dots of tissue in a controlled way.
This peeling (ablation) and heating (coagulation) of tissue regenerates the tissues and stimulates collagen contraction. Patients report improved sensation during intercourse, better lubrication and less dryness and discomfort.
For patients with mild to moderate stress urinary incontinence who are not ready or interested in surgery, the laser heats the tissue around the urethra, effectively remodelling collagen and improving tissue support.
Many of our patients report significant improvement in their symptoms after the recommended course of three treatments at one month intervals. The treatment is painless and takes just ten minutes.
